The plants are approx 35-40cm not including the pots, that may differ from the photos. Due to our chemical free practices and natural dam water usage, the plants may present with imperfections such as discoloured and chewed leaves.

Sold in recycled Plastic pots. Plants have been grown from seeds locally using chemical free practices and grown to the local conditions of Wide Bay Burnett region and not kept in a shade house. They happily grow in full sun.

Description:
This fleshy caudex succulent plant is known as Jatropha podagrica or Buddhas Belly plant from the Euphorbiaceae family.  A deciduous ornamental that can be grown in pots. The lovely red flowers are frequented by many different pollinator insects including bees.

Growing Conditions:
Jatropha plants require well drained soil. They will grow in partial shade to full sun, but will flower better if grown in areas of full sun. Our larger plants are currently growing in larger pots with good quality potting mix.

Spiritual Properties:
This plant for centuries has been seen as a protector, often planted around houses as its able to repel bad spirits and ward off evil.
